Materials:

Costumes: for leaves, koalas and kangaroos. (Can change animals)

These can be made by the children for extra inlusion in the activity

If not students could also dress in the colours of their part.
Method:
The aim of the activity is to show students that when a habitat changes the animals that live may no longer have their needs met.
Situation One:
Loss of leaves from trees from either trees dying off or too many koalas means the koalas need to move on.
Situation Two:
Lack of rain results in less water availability; kangaroos need to find move to another area.
And/or
Development of suburbs results in destruction of habitats; kangaroos need to move to another area.
Conduct questioning aftwerwards to help solidfy students understanding.
